My rear window defroster has stopped working??

I have power to the switch as the light comes on when I turn the defroster switch on.
In fact, dismantling the switch the "violet" wire comes live when the switch is on.
The problem is that the power does not get to the window connector which on a "black" wire.

There must be some kind of relay somewhere. Where is it in the car?
I have tried to follow the "violet" wire but it gets lost under the glove compartment...

Can any body help?

Thanks

I guess nobody was interested but in case someone ever gets this problem, here is how I fixed it:

I went back to the rear window grid; one sides (black wire) going to ground was OK, the other side (black wire again) was going into the wire bundle back to the front of the car along the driver side door. Back to the AC/Defroster panel, the violet wire was live when the defroster switch was tun on. So in between somewhere there was a connection between the violet/black wire around the dashboard.

I looked around the driver side kickpad (next to the hood release) and there was a green connector (6 wires) with the violet and black meeting... The connector was showing sign of overheating with burned marks at those 2 wires. I cut/spliced/welded/taped the two wire outside the connector and put the remaining connector in place. All is now fixed.

Thanks for your help!!
