I just finished installing the wiring for a trailer plug on my tacoma.   I didnt sleep last night worring about why toyota has so many wires..  Theres the usual bundle running down the drivers side ( which I tapped into ) and then another bundle running down the passenger side...  Also toyotas wires seen very small in size to carry a trailer light load....

Is there any secrets to these vehicles?  I m so used to wiring american cars where they use large wires..

to be safe run relays and tap your power from the battery.
