I was hoping someone would have the vehicle color codes and wire locations for a 97 Honda Passport (Isuzu Rodeo).  I am installing an alarm, keyless entry, and remote starter combo.  I hope my question is not redundant, I only found a 95 Passport(Rodeo) and a 98 and newer model in the forum search.  Thank you very much in advance.

I also was a little confused by the trunk pop switch on the Passport when I quickly looked at it.  Should I use a relay off of the alarms neg. pulsed output to convert it to pulsed positive and connect it to the power input of the hatch.  Thanks ereryone for their help.

Notes:
*1 This vehicle has six coils each mounted on top of the spark plugs. The negative side of each coil is a green wire with stripe. GREEN/ black, GREEN / WHITE, GREEN/ orange, solid green, GREEN/ red, GREEN / WHITE. Use one wire and set module to one cylinder setting.  *2 In a white plug in the lower drivers kick. this plug is for a dealer installed alarm and is not connected unless there is an alarm in the vehicle.  When metering the wires, have to use the passenger door lock switch.    *3 Behind left rear side panel at the rear wiper diode.    *4 Located in the yellow air-bag wiring harness.  Use caution when working with this harness, and test the wire with a digital multi-meter with a high internal resistance.  Testing the incorrect wire with ANY other testing instrument will deploy the air-bag.

If your remote unit has a (-) trigger hatch release you will need a relay to convert the (-) to a (+) signal in order for the hatch to open via the AUX channel.

Jeff, Thank you very much for the information.  I am installing the unit as a early Christmas present for my wife and you just made it that much easier to make her happy.  Thank you, Kevin
