Hey guys,

I have run into a problem with a customers car. This Cadillac has a wierd harness that goes into the back of the stereo. This harness does not match any kits that I have from American International, Scoche, or Metra. I ran a test light on the factory harness to find 3 constant power wires. What in the heck is going on? Please help!

I remember doing some older DeVilles and they had a harness that was basically like Metra's 70-1677-1 but then they had another connector with a power wire output and some illumination wires in it. It wasn't the same car, but I'd still test all the wires at the radio with the lights on and off if you haven't already. Hope this helps.

I did a search for Metra application for this car and came up with a 70-1856 which states it is 204" long. It is also called a tuner bypass. Guess Im off to finding the tuner.

The later model Caddys usually had it mounted in the trunk somewhere, underneath the rear deck usually. I'd guess your Brougham is probably the same.
