In my last topic, I wrote to ask about the speed sensor wire for a 2002 corolla ce. The response I got was speed sense -PURPLE / volet- center console-4-22pin.  Well I'm almost done the AVIC N2 install and thats my last problem. What I see behind the center console is..........22pin, 24pin, 24pin,24pin. Theres a purple violet in the first three. 2 of them are 24 pin and the first one is 22pin. On the first one from the right side going up it is 3up, on the other two it is 4 up so im not understanding which one is the speed sense wire. any help would be appreciated.

you can actually test the vss wire with a digital multimeter... depending on if your car has a digital or analog vss wire is what you will look for. on digital vss hook up your pos lead to the vss and the neg lead to ground, then roll your car slowly, it will jump in voltage every couple of feet or so so the faster you move the faster it sends the pulses. now for analog, you will have to drive the vehicle while testing, the varations in voltage will occur slowly in higher voltage, not as dramitic as the digital 0- # - 0.
