Does your Alarm trigger after arming?
You might check your Brake wire connection, Hood Pin, Neutral Safety, etc. for your Remote Start issue.  If the RS senses a ground from Hood Pin or Brake Light wire is not supplying ground then it would not work.

As far as GREEN/ Red wire:

Ignition #3GREEN/ RED (18 GA)IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS **

** Not Powering Up Results In Check Engine Light

BLACK/ WHITE Wire Must Be Powered During Remote Start To Keep The Check Engine Light Off.

any body have any experience on wiring up an alarm/remote start combo system on a 2000 Dodge dakota with power everything and automatic tranny.  I had one installed and they could not figure out why the remote start would not engage.  I have been told of a GREEN/ red of like a 16 or 18 gauge wire only on the 2000 models any info would be greatly appreciated.

When you say that it would not start, does that mean that it doesn't crank over or it does crank over, but doesn't stay running ? If you have OEM alarm as well, then you need to add relays to bypass the system. These trucks are very easy to do, I did one today and all wires are located in the ignition harness for the remote start wires ( no Immobilizer system ) and the keyless is a little different where you have to use (+) for the lock and 5 wire the unlock. Aside from this, there's nothing special about the truck.

Make sure that the starter wire off the remote start is attached to the motor side of the starter disable relay otherwise you will get a no crank problem like you have now.
