I'm preparing to do an Alarm/Remote Start on a 2006 Dodge Charger in about a week. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that has done one of these or is familiar with it. I have already had a chance to scope out the car and take a few things apart. One thing I do know is that it is very similar to the Dodge Magnum and Chrysler 300/300C but one thing I did notice was that the wire colors were different, at least at the key cylinder. Anyone that could give me some info or a wiring diagram I would appreciate it.

DON'T use the constant 12v at the column....very week. Instead uuse the 2 RED / white in the pass. kick. Fuse at 30amps as close to the wire as poss. PS....these cars suck to work on.... -------------

I read somewhere (in Mobile Electronics magazine, IIRC) that it was impossible to put a remote start in this car due to a supposed "lack" of a starter wire. I guess this diagram dispells THAT theory, huh??

I havent had the joy of working on one of these.but I have heard without the proper security bypass. you will have dashlights on during remote starting (hapend to another installer here).. Crime stopper is supposed to have fixed this with their new by-pass modules but we havent done one with the new bypass yet. -------------

I havent done a charger but i have done the magnum. its really not that bad, just time consuming for all the relays and resistors that you need. imo it would be alot easier and save some time if you spent a few extra minutes ahead of time prewiring a few relay packs for the locks, and starter circuit that way when you have one of these roll through the bay you already got the b.s. done ahead of time.
