I have a 1993 Chevrolet Suburban and am in ther process of installing a remote start with no luck. I can get the vehicle to crank but it will not start. I have two new Design Tech remote starters model 26727 & 26327 with the same results. I suspect it is something to do with the ignition wires but am not positive and have read the install instructions and contacted their tech support a few times with no luck. All wires tested out at 12 volts in the correct key position. I am assuming that the install instructions are missing something that I am not aware of. I have listed the wiring information below for my vehicle. If anybody has any information that could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Use your voltmeter to probe the wires behind the key. There will be one wire
(usually a large diameter wire) which you have not hooked up to which is hot in the
run and crank position, which is the missing wire. Simply connect one of our IGN1
or IGN2 wires to this wire. If you already are using both of these wires (IGN1 and
IGN2) – you may find that one of them is an Accessory wire which should have
been powered up by the white Accessory wire. If not, and you need both of these
for ignition – and yet still need the 3rd ignition wire – simply jumper this new wire
over to the AutoCommand®’s IGN1 or IGN2 wire. Or, use the transistor output of
IGN3, which is available on some models, and be sure to have this IGN3 output
drive a relay to power up your new ignition wire.

Thanks for the quick response. From everything I read I do not have a third IGN wire for a 1993 Suburban. One guy from Design Tech told me to swap IGN 2 wire( from orange to Brown) and change the accessory wire from (Brown to orange) but I had the same results. Do you know if the Ignition wiring diagram is correct for a 1993 Suburban Pink for IGN1 and Orange for IGN2?

On the dash does the security light go off when trying to start, if not sounds like pass lock 2 is the problem.

Sorry to wait so long to get back but i lost my HD on my PC and had to rebuild. No security light on my 1993. No passlock on the 1993 suburban (started in 1995) from what little i know. I have IGN 1 (Blue) going to Pinkl, have IGN 2(green) wire going to the Orange and accessory (white) wire going to the brown per DEI instructions.
