I would like to install a remote start on '99 Ford Explorer, and can somebody tell do i need a transponder module to bypass a remote start for this wehicle.

You can get one from DEI as well... I've never worked with the one from bypasskit.com but the one from DEI is decent. Just be careful with the "eye" on the bypass..if you crush it putting the column back together it is no good.
