Hi,
I have a 2002 Montana and a Bulldog Deluxe 500 remote starter.
I bought the GM-1 T-harness which is supposed to be the right one for my vehicle.
I foolishly assumed that the t-harness would somehow make things easier.
Not so much.
The harness on the starter that the T-harness is supposed to replace looks like. (bad ascii art to follow)
----------
-------+ +---------
|Red Yellow Brown |
|Violet Red Pink |
----------------------------
The connectors from the T-harness are
Red - L shaped
Red - L shaped
WHITE/ Red - Straight
White - Straight
Yellow - L Shaped
WHITE/ Blank - L Shaped
The "technical" support at bulldog told me that the wires should go
> Red wires from the t-harness to the red wires on the 500
> White wire from the t-harness to the yellow wire on the 500
> WHITE/ red from the t-harness to the pink on the 500
> WHITE/ black from the t-harness to the brown on the 500
> Yellow/black from the t-harness to the violet on the 500
But both of the red wires have l-shaped connectors so they have to go on the outside.
Does anyone know how this should be wired?
Did they screw up the ends?
Thanks

Hi,I have hooked up my bulldog Deluxe 500 starter and everything is good. But now I want to hook up the bypass module.I have the 555G Bypass module and I am having trouble with the wiring diagram.I think the 2002 Montana is a data immobilizer type. Correct? And then I am supposed to connect the purple data line on the 555G to the purple data line at the wiring harness. But there are 2 purple wires coming from the passkey module. Can I use either one?As well the sheet says to cut the ignition line and hook up the pk3 module side to the pink/black wire on the 555G and the ECM side to the pink wire on the 555G.Can I cut either the pink(ignition 1) or the white(ignition 2) wire for that? Thanks

The ignition they are talking about is the pink ignition wire that is in the immobilizer harness (has an orange, black, couple purples if it Data. Add a blue and pink if it is fuel interrupt. You have the data style in that one)
You will only need the blue/white, purple, red,and black. You are wiring for data, not fuel interrupt. You will not require the pinks.

Lets try this again. Anybody know why my posts just disapear? Anyways. I have a 2002 Pontiac Montana, I have installed a Bulldog Deluxe 500 remote starter and now I am trying to hook up a 555G bypass module. The wiring diagram says that for at least a 2001 Montana I need a data hookup, so the purple wire coming from the wiring harness. But there are TWO purple wires coming from the pk3 module. Can I use either one? Also for the ignition wire can I just cut and use either the pink(ignition 1) or white(ignition 2) wires? Thanks

Thanks Gus. So it doesn't matter which purple wire I grab then?

There is supposed to be a wire,(H7/1 Ignition 3 output), on the Bulldog Deluxe 500 which provides (-) while the remote starter is active, I was going to use this for the Remote Start Status output but the wire doesn't go (-) when it is supposed to. Does anyone know how to make that line go negative or have a suggestion for another line off the 500? What is the downside of just tying the Remote Start Status output to ground? thanks
