Mario, buy a remote start that is safe/designed for a manual trans....it will have instructions.

don't just put any old remote start in this nice car...safety first

Find the clutch wires and test with a DMM on the starter switch to see which wire when clutch is depressed, starts the vehicle. Most Honda/Acura vehicles use a (-) trigger.

Astro, Compustar, or AST (ultrastarter) all build units for manual trans. There are others....but most aren't worth a darn!

The clutch is lt.green at the switch NEG(-) start pulse is needed

To bypass the clutch, find the wire (a thick wire) that comes out of the factory clutch interlock relay, which is usually located somewhere above the driver's kick panel. It is fairly easy to find the clutch interlock relay by tracing the starter wire at the ignition harness. Whereever this starter wire feeds into a relay (normally two relays paired together), that's it. You will then connect your starter wire on your R/S to the thick wire that goes out of the interlock relay. Remember, though, you must use a R/S that is for manual transmission only, as the other guys said previously.

Hi,

In regards to the clutch bypass for a manual Transmission, will this be the same for a 1993 Isuzu Trooper? Or how can I bypass the clutch useing a glaxazy 5000rs manual transmission remotestarter.

It's actually the same process if your Trooper has a clutch interlock (I guess it does). If you have to press the clutch pedal down when starting, you got a clutch interlock. Find the interlock relay, then connect the Starter output wire of your remote starter to the Starter wire that goes out of the interlock relay. Remember - use a R/S designed specifically for manual transmission vehicles.

Some people use a separate relay to bypass the clutch - by reversing the polarity of the clutch wire. That's also fine. A relay costs only a few bucks, not a big deal. I always use the factory interlock relay and I use another replay for the anti-grinding circuit.

Thanks very much for the information, One more question can I fine the parking brake wire anywhere else other then the parking brakes? Because the wire I found coming from the parking brake is only reading ground in both position.

You don't have to wire your parking brake at the parking brake handle. If you have DRL (daytime running light, popular in Canada) which turn on your low-beam when you floor the e-brake handle, you can find the DRL relay module (somewhere under the dash) and wire from there. If you don't have DRL but you have e-brake indicator in the intrument panel, you can find the wire that goes into the instrument panel and wire from there.

If you cannot find the relay, find the e-brake wire color code and then find wire(s) under the dash that match the same color code and probe these wires. You need to turn your key to "Run" position when probing. If a wire shows 12V (or 0V) when the brake handle is released, that's the wire.
