I am installing a cheap bmw3 lcd 2way remote start on a 2000 Ranger for a friend and my question is this: I purchased the universal transponder bypass module that takes the programmed key inside. It says the two wires hook up to the key ring transponder from the ignition. What color are the wires that I am looking for? There are six wires that come from the ignition, but I am not sure which ones belong to the transponder ring.

I'm pulling my hair out, and any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

you dont hook up to the factory wires at all, you put the ring that you got with the bypass around the ignition switch and hook  the  bypass to 12volts constant  and the - when running or - ignition 3  put your xtra key in box and thats it

you did not say what brand of bypasss i assume its a generic with a black wire and a red wire if so red 12v black to - output of rs

Theres no actual ring that came with the bypass, do you mean loop the antenna from the bypass around the ignition?? Thanks a million, you have been a huge help!!
