I installed the wiring according to vehicle wiring diagram but the system does not work. I read for power at the input harness and everything checks out good. Is it the remotes or do I need to add relays?

The keyless entry will need a battery source of power on it's main power line and a ground. There will be a lock and unlock output wire. The door lock system in the car uses a light blue wire for lock and a white for unlock. They are a postive pulse system. Depending on the keyless unit you may also have to program the remotes to work. Read the install manual completely and then recheck your work.

I hooked up the main harness to the battery. I hooked up the lt. blue wire and the white wire. I hooked up the 12v constant wire also. The confinguration I used is a positive pulse. I have rechecked my work but it still doesnt work. Do I need relays?

The door lock wires in the car trigger a door lock relay. As long as your keyless entry can put out a 200ma positive pulse, you shouldn't need relays. Use a volt meter to confirm that your keyless entry has both battery power and ground and that the door lock wires you are tapped into are correct. Check to see if the door lock outputs of your keyless are putting out a pulse with a meter. You may have to program the remotes into the keyless, before they will work. What does your install manual say?

The install manual doesnt say anything about having to program the remotes. It does however give information on how to program it. I followed the instructions and still nothing. The manual also says that the system should put out enough power so that I should not need relay. I read out the wires from the control unit. I am getting 12vdc into the control unit. I have a good ground also. There are only three wires on the door switch itself. A lt. blue, white, and an orange. The orange is the 12volt constant. The blue is the lock and white unlock. I spliced into the wires on the passenger side.

sounds like the wires from your keyless are ground pulse.this car requires a positive pulse.so....if this is true. then yes you need relays. also.....i do not see in your posts any refrence to a ground. i assume you did hook up the ground wire. xs

the only ground wire I have hooked up is for the control unit itself. The information on this website says If your alarm or keyless entry has positive outputs only, you will have to connect the other side of the coils to ground. What does this mean?
