Hello I have installed a remote starter in my 2002 olds alero but i can not find a wire to get a proper tach reading from. i have seached on this topic and have found lots on the v6 model. but i have a 2.2 v4. it would bw greatly appreciated if anyone could give me a diagram for the 2.2 or even just tell me where to get a good tach reading for the remote start to use.

Just grab it at the injector ontop of the motor. It's easy to get to.

what color should i use? and is that the thing that stand alone right on top of the engine w/like 5 or 6 wires commig of it?

I figured it out. I used the BROWN / white wire on the injector on the top of the engine. thanks for the help!
