Hello,
This is the first time I have posted here so if I get it wrong I apologise in advance !!
I have a 1997 chevy blazer
my problem is the brake lamp isn't going on.I check the brake switch there are orange, white ,BLACK/ white & violet
wires.orange & white is push on switch but BLACK/ white & violet is push off.voltage in the brake switch is not have problem I think
because hazard light have aproblem like the brake lamp,it's not going on.I checked relays boxes under head unit there are 4 pcs and
all of it is good.all fuses in the fuses boxes & all bulb is good.
If anyone would happen to know where the problem is, it would be very helpful!
Many thanks for reading this, best regards to all, jimmy
The orange wire at the brake switch is the hot or battery wire. It should have 12 volts on it all the time. The white wire is the switched brake light wire. When you press the brake pedal, it should receive 12 volts. The brake switch wire splits from there and goes to the turn signal switch and through the underhood fuse box and then to the tail lamps. You have to trace the wiring to find where the open circuit is or run a new one.

Thanks….I thought the white wire from brakeswitch not through to the brake bulb but it's go to the other circuit because if i give power(positive trigger from battery)at bulb, one of relay in relay boxes is active, and buzzer is on too, but bulb still not goin on.the meaning is nothing open circuit at there.most cars not like that, wire from brake switch always through to all brake bulb.I’ll try to check white wire connection again, thanks for your help……………
Best regards
Jimmy
