Anyone have any information on adding line-level aux inputs to the factory Bose stereo in the new MX5 (Miata)? I'm interested in connecting an iPod and a Roady XT XM radio. The unit has "SAT" and "Media" buttons. The "SAT" one is for the dealer-option Mazda Sirius radio unit and the "Media" one is for the dealer-option Mazda PhatNoise digital music system. Surely someone has or will come up with an adapter to allow for other uses for these (at least for line-level inputs). Anyone have any information?

Thanks in advance.

The Media button is for Aux Line inputs at the rear of the BOSE Stereo. I installed an OEM Aux line input connector for my MP3 player. The OEM unit comes with a 4 pin connector that's pre-wired to fit an existing input at the rear of the BOSE. I think it would be easy to trace the appropriate input channels.

What OEM Aux line input connector are you referring to? Does Mazda have one? I thought all they had was the PhatNoise unit and the in-dash cassette. Any more info on this adapter would be appreciated. You did this on an '06 model?
