Hello, I hooked up my alpine deck in my topaz and it has power and the memory is working but now my dash lights dont work. I followed the wiring diagram in the vehicle wiring page but there is a wire in my car that is not in the diagram on your page, its a larger solid red wire and there is no power going to it when the ignition is on or off. Could this be the wire for the dash lights and should i attach it to the battery/Constant wire with the stereo or is it another wire that i need.

The red wire is probably the radio ground wire. Ford sometimes uses a thick red wire for ground. It should have a ring connector on it to attach to the back of the radio to ground. Check what wire you used for ground. You have probably used the dash lamp wire for ground and have blown the fuse. Connect the radio's ground wire to the vehicle body for ground.
