HELP, I recently purchased and installed a Commando RS-560  Remote start, keyless entry ,Alarm.   (For a 1994 Toyota 4Runner)

Well everything works great except for the remote start. I get nothing when i press the remote key  I've rechecked my ignition wires but i cant get it to start!  Does the remote have to be programmed if you are using the Tach wire? The instructions are very confusing on what to do.

Does the RS unit have a tachless mode?  Check your ground on the unit and make sure that its good. It sounds like you dont have the proper start wires powered up.Her are the wires that need to be hooked up. Ignition #1 BLACK/ red ,Ignition#2  BLACK / YELLOW, Accessory blue/red,starter wire Black.  If your unit has a anti grind feature(starter kill)make sure that you hook the main ignition wire on the starter side of the relay.  If you need any more help feel free to e mail me directly.  Good luck. Look in your install manual for start feature II programming. follow the instructions just below it that read: "Tachometer checking type". Follow these instructions all the way up to "Voltage checking Type". Keep me posted
