Hello!
I'm trying to install a Tach in my 2006 Focus. I'm looking for a Distributor, but there is none. My car instead uses a DIS (Distributor-Less Ignition System). The manual for the Tach says it supports these systems, with the Power/Ground/Light being in the "standard" locations, but with the green wire Tach signal being engine/model specific.
I think if I'm correct, my DIS engine has a coil per cylinder. My question? How would I go about fathoming finding the right connect for Tach signal without ripping through the engine clipping lots of wires and hoping I find the right one? Does anyone have any experience in this?
Thanks! Bob
