I have a 2002 Silverado LT that originally came with the cd player which has SCV (speed compensated volume) and onstar and the cassette slave. I just installed a pioneer navigation system and I think that there is a VSS (speed sensor) wire running to the radio harness on my truck. (I know I can get to a VSS wire at the ECM but this would be much more convenient.)

Does anybody know if this is correct, and if so the pin location in the radio harness or wire color would be appreciated. I have found this information for newer trucks (2003+) which usually refers to a green wire with a white stripe. When I checked out the harness, I noticed that there are a couple of green wires, both with white stripe - *i think*. One was dark green and the other was light green.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

If the VSS wire is at the radio, it will be a dark GREEN / WHITE right next to the light blue wire. It is in the next cavity, but is not the dark green wire in the second cavity from the light blue. That is a data wire. If it is not there, you can also find it in the plug for the instrument cluster. It is the dark/GREEN / WHITE next to the white wire.
