If you are installing a remote start read this

UPDATE: blue /white lock(-)and gray(-) unlock drivers side kick panel there are 2 plugs that go to the drivers door one has these wires and the other has the wires green(-)&purple(-) difference is the green and purple will not work when the RS is on where the blue/white & gray will lock and unlock reguardless.

This is going to sound really stupid but I took off my bulldog remote start because of the stupid instructions. Or maybe I think its the end user. Could someone clarify this for me please (in the order I asked)

1. If there is a 10pin plug and only 7 pins are used, is this referred to as a 7pin plug? (just an example)

because I can't find some of the wires saying "13pin" "18 pin" etc.

2. where is the fasd wire? is this same as the FACTORY ALARM DISARM wire (GREEN/ black)?

I'm going to give this another shot tomorrow morning to see if i can get it to work. If not, i'm going to raise hell and curse everyoneposted_image

1) If the plug has 10 pins, but only 7 wires....it's a 10 pin plug!

2) never hear the term fasd   Factory Alarm Disarm      disarms with unlock
Disarm No Unlock      use key sense wire

NO.

This has to do with the wiring diagram=) New thread would just be more confusing to others who are searching. The bulldog site has their diagram as shown HERE

and I was just really confused comparing to the one diagram in read in this thread. I took out the remote start because I was frustrated and googled myself here which gave me a little more hope.

I installed a power tailgate lock on my 2006 Tacoma and the instructions were to use the Blue/Black for Unlock and the Blue/Pink wire for Lock. These are +12 input.

TOYOTA, TACOMA, 2006

The Body ECU is attached to the back of the fuse box. It has a single 26 pin plug.

Could you help me find the Keysense wire please? In the igition bundle, there is only seven wires and the GREEN/ black + is a starter wire. I can't find the GREEN/ black - wire. I managed to get the car to remotely start but I can't lock my car with the stock remote.

I'll add pics up tonight!

Its in a plug with a WHITE/ black on the right side of the column.  The power door locks WILL NOT work (with the remote) while the engine is running.

I think this can be bypassed but I'll have to do that later when I get there=) I'll ask about it!

Keysense is located right by the key cylinder, two pin plug. Go directly to the steering column....
