I have recently fitted a new alternator to a 1993 Honda Legend 2.7 but still get no charge at the battery. The ignition warning light does not come on at all. Does the alternator need the warning light to trigger charging. Has anybody got a wiring diagram for the charging circuit?

My friend had the same problem with his 88' Legend LS 2.7(really a 2.68) and I ran an 8ga. wire from the alternator to the battery and it's been 4 years no problem. I also changed the alternator and still had the problem. So running the cable was a time & cost effective way of fixing the problem. There are some funky electical issues on the generation 1 Legends.
