2007 Toyota Tundra

Hey, guys...

I was putting a viper 350HV into a brand new Tundra (MFG 09/06) today and got stopped when it came to the door locks. i actually pulled up DEI doc 1070 as well as directech wiring diagrams. They only specify to '06 and i believe that they have changed the locking mechanism unless i am retarded. i decided to 5wire the lock motors instead of going to the switches in the door. The BECU wiring was too hard to reach and i couldn't get the fuse box out to get to it so then opted to go to the driver side kick as noted in directech. i metered the wires using the drivers door switch and interupted the switch wires inside the door jamb. After wiring the supplied relay pack, i noticed that i needed to switch the motor and switch side wires of the relay wiring, otherwise the fuse would blow. This enabled the drivers door motor to lock/unlock properly but would not control any other door. This seems to make sense, except that the wires i cut disabled the switch and not the motor. After speaking with my tech support, they recommended that i go inside the door at the switch which i did. Well, there is now one main harness that goes into the control panel and metered two wires that show 2.5V when locked but .18V when unlocked. (sustained and not pulsed) The wires are WHITE/ red and WHITE/ blue instead of lt. GREEN/ red and lt. GREEN/ blue. i did however find the RED / yellow wire to be proper 12V+ in locked position as the lock detection wire.

i ended up leaving the driver door 5wired and am having the customer come back tomorrow.

tomorrow i will pull the passenger door off and see if there are wires coming from the key cylinder there. worst case scenario is to 5wire all four doors. (really dont want to do that)

First, is it a 4 door? If not then it's a simple negative pulse door lock system. If it is 4 door, it's identical to the Sequoia and you need to add one relay to the back of the drivers door control mod, just like doc. 1070 states. The colors are GREEN/ red and GREEN/ black, not GREEN/ blue. It's a simple hookup, much easier than what you want to do. It's really just a negative pulse system but a third wire needs to be disengaged during lock, that's it. Follow the instructions on the 1070 exactly and it will work fine, i've done hundreds. There is a heavy 12volt source right at the DDCM that you can use, no need to run it....
