I've have about 15 hours already invested in the installation of a (Prostart CT3200) remote starter in my wifes 97 grand am so obviously I am too stubborn to let this defeat me.
The passlock1 bypass is installed and working correctly.
I think that I'm on the wrong wires for the door locks as the instructions say to connect the modules brown (neg) wire to LtBlue(pos in kick panel for lock, and module green (neg) to White(pos) also in drivers kick panel for unlock. But the locks don't work by remote.
In the Car wiring chart there is mention of a "door pin" which shows the 2 wires there "LtBlue & LtGREEN/ Black" to be negative. Do these have anything to do with the locks?
If the remote locks are'nt wired correctly, would this prevent the engine from starting?
At this point, the remote will crank the engine fine but it does'nt run.
Also, where does the "ground out while running" wire connect?
Dumb questions perhaps, so any suggestions are appreciated.

Inside every old person, is a young person wondering what happened
The locks shouldn't matter, however they should be working. Also you might want to check all your 12 volt leads and make sure you are getting 12 votes. The ground out wire needs to be on the frame and not just the dash, you need a solid ground for the unit. If you still can't get it try this link it might have some more insight.
