i have a 96 honda accord automatic and the switch on my parking brake broke i guess cuz the light on the dash stays onif i find the brake wire which is RED / white or RED / green can i jus cut the wire goin into the dash and ground it will the light turn off or should i just take the bulb out........cuz ive been drivn for a while now and i know when the brake is on.......

tHE WAY THE PARKING BRAKE LIGHT ON THE DASH IS TRIGGERED IS BY WAY OF GROUND. pULL THE EBRAKE, IT GOES TO GROUND, AND TURNS ON THE LIGHT. wHY DON'T YOU REPLACE THE SWITCH?
