I am in the process of installing an alarm/keyless entry system in my 2005 Mazda 3i. How do I prevent accidental lockout? For instance: upon exiting vehicle you manually hit the door lock button, shut the door, but your keys are still in ignition or on the seat. Probably an easy answer for the 12volt experts, but I am just learning the basics.

Thx in advance for your help.

surely your car will unlock its self if you caught the button while door was open?

same as if your door wasnt quite closed it would bounce back up after locking

mine does anywayposted_image
