Recently I installed an Astro Start 4204 remote start/entry system into a 2007 Hyundai Azera. Everything went smoothly except I cannot get the power locks to function with the Astro Start remote. I have 3 different websites where I get wiring information and they all agreed (surprisingly) on 2 wires inside the driver's door, a BROWN / orange to lock and a pink to unlock. However, when I attach to these 2 wires, the door locks will not operation. If I lock the doors with the factory remote and then hit the 'lock' on the Astro Start remote, I can hear the actuators inside the doors trying to respond by locking the doors but when I hit 'unlock', absolutely nothing happens. The same is true if the doors are unlocked and I try to lock them. Also, if I lock the doors with the factory remote and then push the unlock button on the FACTORY remote, the driver's door will unlock. If I then push the unlock button on the Astro Start remote, the remaining 3 doors will unlock. Is there another wire somewhere that I have to pulse in order to make the locks respond when I use the Astro Start remote? Nobody I've talked to has any idea why it doesn't work. I'd really appreciate any help I can get.
