2001 Ford Ranger
im looking to wire several LED lights to turn on with my dome light. so when i open the door or use keyless entry the LEDs turn on along with my dome. I tried using the door triggers but for some reason they do the opposite that i need, turning on when the door closes and off when door opens. My truck has negative (-) door triggers. I also tried the power directly from the the dome power but they will still turn on with the doors closed and off with the doors open.
do i need some relay or what to make this work. Any help would be appreciated!

You should connect the diode in break of a wire of a feed the LED.
