Trying to reverse wire a harness back into my Matrix. I've figured out all the wires except for the BLACK/ white which I'm told is Ill- and the dark green which is ill+

So I know what these wires are I just don't know what they are for and what to connect them to.

Are you re-installing the OEM player or an aftermarket one ? What you need to do is to test to make sure which is which. Illumination will test 12+ when lights are on and the Dimmer will test 12 volts when at the lowest setting on the dimmer and as it gets brighter it will slowly go to ground. Depending on the aftermarket HU, you may not need either one.
