The driver door trigger is yellow/black and the passenger door(s) is gray/red. Use both wires and diode isolate. These wires are normally in the driver kick and passenger kick.
How are you going to trigger the dome light to go on and how are you going to control time it is on?

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Technically yes, grounding the wire will turn on domelight. see notes below on the GEM.
Notes:
NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System). Use DEI module 555U to over-ride during remote start. *1 The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) is to the left of the radio. *2 The driver door trigger is yellow/black and the passenger door(s) is gray/red. Use both wires and diode isolate as shown in directfax document #1076. *3 The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is on the top of the firewall under the hood towards the passenger side. The tachometer wire is in pin 48. Can also get tach at the ignition coil or coil pack. Use any of the tan/stripe wires. *4 The GEM in this vehicle shuts down after the doors have been locked for a certain time period, to 'wake-up' the system refer to directfax document #1093.

test wire by accessing and stripping a small amount of pvc jacket. have a test light or a meter. see that the wire is the door trigger wire by pushing in door switch and releasing. If you get a ground when you release and no ground when pushed, then it is correct. Then take a small piece of scrap wire about 2 to 3 feet long. Twist one end to the wire that goes ground as described above and then push in switch again, touch wire to a chassis ground and the domelight should go on. If so then wire the domelight supervision wire to a relay pin 30 to ground, pin 87 to wire you want to get ground, 85 to a fused 12v+ constant and then 86 to the negative trigger. This will give you a better more solid of a ground point. You can wire wire that goes ground direct if you wish. I just prefer to run relays.
