I have a 2003 F150 Lariat that obviously has power door locks. What I am adding is an after market actuator in another part of the truck. The after market actuator has just 2 wires (not unusual) and from what I can tell the stock actuator (passenger side) has 4. Is this something I can easily tap into? If so what wires do I splice into? This after market one just uses a reverse of + and - to go in or out. I thought thats how the stock one in the door worked too?
Thanks in advance!
Yep....if it's a two wire actuator you can just tie into the motor wires of the factory actuator. I do this all the time when a customer has a factory actuator go bad and doesn't want to pay the dealer to put an oem part in. Lock pink/black (+) and unlock RED / orange (+) are the wires you need. You can find the wires in the door, or under the left side of the dash, against the firewall at the factory keyless entry.

Thanks. I will get the door panel off today and see if pink/black and RED / orange are there and try em out!
