hello fellow installers, i got a question that not any of my colleages could answer.  So i have the new panasonic screen with the dvd and a starvision TV tuner.  when i switch to VTR1, the starvision tuner has a ridiculous amount of engine noise.  I grounded the tuner to the same ground the deck has, and ran several different RCA cables between the tuner and the panasonic brain-- even holding the RCA in the air away from everything, as soon as i moved it into the car, the engine noise started.   And that was with the rca in my hand about 4 feet from any metal surface.  Now i know that the starvision tuner only puts out 1v p-p and thats horrible, but i need to get rid of engine noise some way and need some installer tricks!  Any helpful installers please respond.

Tim

Get a different set of RCA's that is triple shielded. This will fix the problem

before you try running new RCAs, I recently had the same type of problem with an XBOX install with overhead video into a 03 avalance. Instead of running new RCAs I was able to use a ground loop isolator (available from Best Buy for like $15) and that took care of the problem
