They are relatively easy if you've done them before. The templates are useful but I never use them myself. The hardest part is getting the roof liner to drop enough to insert the metal plate where the monitor attaches to.

what does the metal plate insert attach to the roof or the headliner? is the headliner the only thing that supports the tv or is there some sort of addhesion? ------------- In case of snow drive backwards, instant front wheel drive, then again who needs it when you drive a Scoobie

The metal plate actually goes between the roof and the roof liner. The monitor then attaches to the metal plate through screws that pass through the liner. I do have some pictures that I did of a monitor install on a 2008 Nitro but I need to find them. I'll see what I can do , but in the meantime you will have to wire in the wires to the ignition switch or the fuse box.
