Which band on the radar dectects police cars? And How do they get dectected? thnx

Police use a number of bands. K band as well as Ka are the most common but they also use X band. X band is mostly used in shoping centres for automatic doors. Laser is completely different. It is of my oppinion that Escort makes the best laser/radar detectors on the market. I own a Escort Passport 8500 and it has the best range and overall performance out of all the ones I've tried.
