I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer EXT with a factory installed Panasonic ceiling mount DVD player.  I have the opportunity to get a set of Pyle Sunvisor Monitors for the front real cheap.

I called the local install shop and they said that the OEM Panasonic unit does not have any RCA outputs that can drive the visor monitors.  I want to verify that this is as impossible as they say before I go ahead and get the visors.  They said that maybe I should take down the Panasonic unit to see if it had a Video Out jack?  This sorta tells me that they are not too sure of how the OEM unit works.

Anybody ever try to hookup the ceiling unit to visor monitors?.  We travel a lot and my wife misses out on the movies that the kids enjoy in the back.  Any suggestions would be welcome - I tried to search but found no results.

Thanks.

The only way you can do is taking the dvd to any TV/DVD Repair center and they will install outputs (in the DVD player) for your monitors, but may be you are going to need a video amplifier, try whitout it if the signal is not good enough install the video amplifier.

It can be done they just don't know how. Tho i don't recall the exact location, when you pull down the Panasonic there are two rows of wires in connectors. The video and audio signals are in the connector on the right. We've done this to add video to a nav unit a couple of times on the factory Panasonic units...
