Anyone use this unit and play dvd/cds with mp3s? We just got the unit and are having problems with it displaying the files out of order and in the list as files names only. The ID tag info shows when the song file is playing, but not in the list. Maybe it isa setting that we have missed or possible that it is the way we burn the cd?

We are writing the files through Windows Media Player and direct access in windows and both ways seem to result in the same track listings out of order. The manual says that the files will be in the order of either the way they are burned or alpha sorted. Not sure how to get the track listings the way I want them.

Any tips?

Hi,

The new Kenwood products are Firmware Updateable in order to keep up-to-date with other firmware changing technologies (Bluetooth, Garmin, iPod, etc...)

Check "SETUP", go to "SOFTWARE INFORMATION" and see what version of firmware you are using. Kenwood is currently using version 1.4.0. You can download teh latest firmware to CD-ROM for free at www.kenwood.com/cs/ce .
