i am in need of help. i want to hard wire a 400 watt power inverter to the battery but im not sure if it will kill the battery. i have heard that even when its switched off it still draws power and will kill the battery. Is this a myth or true? what other options do i have?

some inverters can still place a load on the battery even when switched off(led's and crap)  you can solve the problem by adding a seperate switch for just the power source of the inverter.  so when you switch that power off the inverter is isolated completely from your battery.

How much current does the inverter pull?
