I have a 2007 Tahoe with the factory rear seat entertainment system (RSE) and was kicking around the Idea of replacing the OEM overhead screen with a larger one.  My question is that since the OEM radio is Data and the whole system talks to itself, would there be any issues with the two-way communication of the RSE if I simply tap into the video leads where it plugs into the OEM overhead screen?  For now, everything else is factory.  If anyone knows of an interface harness that would be easier, I would love to hear about it.

I know you can get video on the back of the radio or up top. We have added second screens in Burbs and EXT's a few times and we tap in for it. I doubt removal of the OEM screen would matter....

the gray plug on the radio houses the video signal and yes there are a few adapters avail for this.
