I'm installing a Code Alarm CA530 on a 2008 Honda Civic EX sedat A/T using a XK05 bypass module.

The remote start works fine WITH the key in the ignition, but I'm having problems with the bypass.

During bypass programming (1st time the key is turned to ignition) the LED  quickly flashes on once, then turns off.  The key is removed from the ignition.  The car cranks via remote start, but won't fire.  If the key is placed in the ignition again and turned on, the LED stays on continuously and the car still won't start with via remote.

Four wire hook up.  Red-constant power, Black-ground, Brown-blue /black trace on CA530 and Violet to light green on ignition (3rd in 7 pin connector). This is the second bypass I've tried.  Both gave the exact same results.

Thanks for your help.

UPDATE: I have the bypass grounded to a dash screw along with the remote start.  Wonder if that could be the problem?
