Hey everyone, just found this site through a google search and thought it might be a good place to get the info I'm looking for.

I recently purchased a Gentex 261 mirror that I want to install into my '94 F250. I've been looking for a wiring diagram but I can only seem to find ones for older 5-pin connectors.

This mirror has the compass & temp, and autodim, and airbag light. I believe it is of '02-03 vintage, not entirely sure.

Anyway...the mirror came with a pigtail and here's the info I've got so far. It is a 16 pin plug but it only has 13 wires in it (1,2, and 10 are blank).

Starting with pin 1 the wire colors are: (blank), (blank), blue, turquoise, gray, turquoise w/white stripe, black w/white stripe, black, light green, (blank), turquoise w/white stripe, light green w/black stripe, yellow, yellow w/black stripe, brown w/white stripe, and pink.

Also, I bought a Gentex temp sensor for it. It has two wires, and both are light green, I figured one would have a black stripe. How do I know which one is the ground (or does it matter)?

If anyone could tell me what colors correspond to what on the mirror, that would be great :) The only features I need on the mirror are the comp, temp & autodim since I have no passenger airbag.

THANKS!

oops, so I guess the info on the pins has already been posted.

However, if anyone could advise me on the temp sensor wiring it would be much appreciated. Would it hurt it to just try hooking it up and see what works?

Thanks for the help, I guess I'll just figure it out myself.
