Hi Guys,
I am not technically inclined for car audio in general! I have a KVT-715 with hideaway unit that I purchased used; this system went in an enclosed trailer with dedicated battery also in trailer. I cannot seem to figure out how to wire this unit with amplifier; there are two black wires; one from stereo and one from hideaway unit. How do I wire this system to a dedicated 12 volt battery with whole stereo system being mounted in trailer? What wires go to battery (+ and -)? what wires get attached from stereo/DVD player to hideaway unit? I am lost! I have tried to contact the original owner who stated he would assist me over the phone but he has never answered my Emails! Please help with wiring system to battery, etc. Dan

Go to the Kenwood web site and download the mannual, it has pictures on how to wire it.
Thanks Ispker,
I have already looked at the installation instructions from website and have printed them; unfortunately they really give no information for my application and barely any info is given. They show wires going nowhere and do not even mention them. I need to have someone who knows about this system with the hideaway unit and direct me in the right direction as to where each wire goes. I have two black wires, one from receiver/dvd and one from hideaway unit, no idea where they go. I do know if you connect them together they get hot! What wires actually attach to the battery, how do I ground wires (what color), this system is built in an enclosure, what do I ground to? It will not be in a vehicle but in an enclosed trailer, thanks, Dan

Both black wires will go to the neg. of the battery. Both yellow wires will go to the pos. of battery. Red wire from monitor goes to pos. of battery or accessory switch. The (lt) green wire gets chasis grounded and the blue w/ white stripe goes to the remote turn on for the amp if you are using one.
