I bought a used rear-view camera (no manual) and there are 3 wires- which is what I expected... but the colors are throwing me off. The colors are red (power?), yellow (AV?), and white (ground?). I was expecting red, black, and yellow. Can anyone please tell me which is which? TIA

See attached picture. The wire is cut above the original female connectors- I dont have any of the original parts. All I see now are 3 wires - white, yellow, and red. In the pic, I also see that that are two rca's...therefore, I'm assuming the yellow and white wires are signal outs for two different outputs...so that leaves the red wire but not black for ground. How should I connect these?

Ok figured out part of the problem. The red wire (power) was actually power and ground- the shield wire (ground) was riding on the outside of the inner (12v+). Ok- so down to one last question- are the yellow and white wires two separate signals, or is one of the yellow or white wire ground while the other is signal? In other words, do I need to splice the yellow to the center conductor of an RCA and the white wire to the shield of said RCA?
