Guys,

I assumed I could play video off a usb powered external hdd on a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD...turns out I shouldn't have assumed.

Are there any DD headunits that will play video off an external USB hard drive?

also make sure your hard drive is formatted to FAT32! if you decide to do that make sure u back up your HDD cause when u format it, it will delete EVERYTHING

Pioneer F700 & F900, Kenwood DDX514, Kenwood DNX5140, and I think the new Pioneer P3100DVD & 4100DVD's have them
