I have an F90bt ... does the purple backup camera wire already have a diode inline --? There is this black cylinder already inline with the wire and I'm wonder if this is the diode isolation for this circuit.

Otherwise, which direction should I point my diode when i connect the purple wire to the OEM reverse wire, and which way should I point my diode when i connect the power lead for the camera to the OEM reverse wire?

It's a resistor not a diode. You shouldn't need to install anything else when hooking it up
