I'm having some issues with some screens I mounted in 2 ford passenger vans(98'). They're 15" screens. I used a 1/2" thick piece of plywood( 7' wide) running between the support beams. The tv's are mounted around 5 inches from the beam itself. The problem is now the customer states that the screens rattle. The wood was secure when I mounted it and I thought the screens were as well. Is there anything else I can do to support these more?? Maybe put some padding between the roof and the wood to keep vibration down?? I won't see the vans until Saturday morning.

You need bigger screens. On a more serious note, i have yet to see one of those lage screens that were built strong enough to remain intact for more than a few weeks. Chances are the plastic mounting holes are cracking and letting the monitor sag and move around.

I'll take a look at that. I know that when I installed them, the mounts themselves were solid, but the screens were alittle shakey because of where they swivel down.
