I bought Alpine's NVE-872A navigation unit a few years back and I am looking to upgrade the software.

All I could find on the internet for the latest version was the NVD-A802 disk (https://support.alpine-usa.com/products/documents/OM_NVD-A802.PDF but that was released in Dec 2007), surely there has to be more recent software from Alpine by now?

Anybody know, have a link, or a model number for more recent software?

nevermind. i called alpine and spoke to the Navigation Tech Support.

I have the original disk, first version of software (NVD-A801).

In 2007 they released the 2nd version of software (NVD-A802), which is still the current software today.

The tech said they are planning on releasing the 3rd version of software in spring of 2010, maybe around April (NVD-A803).

All retail for $300. I am going to wait until spring to order the 3rd version. posted_image
