I very recently bought a Mercury Grand Marquis and decided that it needed some cool electronics that it's geriatric previous owner would have never installed.

I'm not afraid to install anything.

So far I've bought a Pioneer AVIC-X910BT.
https://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-AVIC-X910BT-5-8-Inch-Navigation-Bluetooth/dp/B002EGVR6O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1269579779&sr=8-1

I want to justify this purchase with the wife by getting headrest monitors and IR headphones. This is where I'm having problems doing my research. I'm not afraid to install monitors in my existing headrests. This seems like the safer method anyway. Here is a monitor I've considered:https://www.amazon.com/PYLE-PLVHR75-7-Inch-Headrest-Monitor/dp/B0009SURMY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1269580130&sr=8-2

My question is how will the IR headphones interface? The monitor ad doesn't mention IR headphones. Does this mean these monitors won't work? Does the AVIC-X910BT supply the IR signal? I like the affordability of these monitors but I have to have wireless headphones.

Can someone tell me what I'm missing here?
