hi, i did a hook up of a kec 10.4 flipdown tv that comes with fm transmitter. but sound is not coming out too good,i mean the bass is not coming out maybe at all even with radio bass setting all way up when playing a movie,I know stock radio in my 07 tundra is not the best but radio sound pretty good when broadcasting fm stations but not the sound of the dvd,I change frequencies and in all sound the same.
FM transmitters are not the best way to get sound to your system. Some are better than pthers. An FM modulator will almost always give improved sound over an FM transmitter. If there is a tiny wire that is used as the antenna for the transmitter, you can try extending it about 18 inches and slide the wire into the headliner towards the direction of your car's antenna.
Your problem may not be the transmitter, it may be the unit itself. Next time you are shopping for a unit, at least look at the Audiovox/Advent line. We sell the Advent 10 inch model for 600 dollars. I am sure you got a better deal on the KEC, The extra money for the Advent unit would have probably prevented this thread.
thank you mr idiot will try to extend the fm wire all the way as much as possible,
The KEC unit is a high end unit as per few audio installers i have talk to,the model i got retails for $700 also is made on korea which i think are known as better electronic manufacturer than the one made in china or taiwan
