How to get Great HDTV Reception in Car,

I have a Conversion van with a 20" HDTV @ 120 Volt,
so I use the Inverter to get the power.

I tried so many HDTV Antennas and most of them were no good.
I finally got a RCA ANT1050 Digital Flat Passive Ultra-Slim-Profile Antenna with Enhanced Reception (Black), it's thin and you can tape it to your inside window for 15.00.

The reception was Good, but I added a Power Amp to the Coax and the best trick for max picture is to use a Coax Grounding Block and run the ground line to your best chassis ground. Now the picture is crystal clear.

You know the ground block you use to run a cable to your outside ground service. Use the same type for the inside of the car, once the Coax was grounded to the car chassis the picture is incredible. It looks as good as my cable in the house. Grounding both in the home and in the car are just as important for the best picture. And the signal strength shot-up when I added the ground block.

best to you all,
Russ

Mike,
Did you put a ground block on it yet?
The Holland Company makes great quality units, nickel plated bronze with a gold plated center pin section, they work well.

Hooking up to a strong Ground is the way to go.

And for the home you want to make sure your telephone, cable/sat tv is grounded to both the water pipe and the 8' copper clad steel ground rod.

I drive 2 additional ground rods into the ground and tie them together.
3 in a triangle 36" apart.

Anyway, ground to your Neg battery and the Chassis Ground connection, the better the ground, the better the TV and FM
