Well I got a quick question I was just wondering if anyone in here has mess around with the pioneer
avm-p7000r it the brain unit for a avx-p7000cd indash lcd. I just wanted to know if anyone know what these wires are for (1. ORANGE / white=?) (2.Yellow/Black=?) I have look inside the manual that came with it and it doesn't say anything about them, all it say is make sure a authorized dealer install my radio & brain and the shop around here are asking $200.00 or more to install these item's and I have already install everthing in the car but these two wires are the only thing hold me back. And this set up is for my friend ride on his chevy malibu. I know that in my tv unit in my mercury sable I had to connect a orange lead to the brake wire so that when i'm driving the tv turn off but I just connect it to ground and the tv stay on all the time driving or just park in a lot. But my unit is a Clarion so I dont know if it the same way or different so if anyone out there know of anything drop me a line.
P.S. I have already look at the pioneer web site and my friend called customer care from pioneer and no help in the web site and they told him to take it to a dealer to install it so that didnt help. And he already tried connect the radio but still no audio or video, the anti-theft light on the indash come on but that it, so it getting power but something missing that not make it work.

orange just makes the deck dim when you change the brightness of your guages via the headlight control. Yellow is power, but yellow/black is mute for the cell phone addon so when your phone rings it mutes the deck.
